Quinta Alhóndiga Galindo is a boutique hotel located in the heart of the beautiful magical town of San Pedro Cholula, Puebla, in a historic mansion from the late 18th century.
During the 19th century, the property was the Casa de la Alhóndiga de Cholula, place where grains were sold, bought and stored in support of neighbors and mainly farmers in situations of scarcity.
In 1932 the property was acquired by Mr. Rafael Galindo Pérez for housing purposes for him and his family. it also housed administrative revenue collection offices of the City Council and was the first domicile of the Mexican Social Security Institute in San Pedro Cholula. Over the years, numerous families adopted this house as their home, being also occupied by commercial establishments.
The third generation of the Galindo family, in September 2017, Takes the important decision to recover the magic of the property, initiating restoration work respecting the spaces, the architecture and the original design of the property, seeking at all times the greatest comfort for the guest. Based on these principles, an innovative project for San Pedro Cholula is developed and presented: a boutique hotel that honors family and cultural ties combining details of Mexican archeology with a commercial and recreational area for guests and the general public.
