OLMEC

The beautiful Olmec room reflects the origin and root of this amazing civilization, cradle of Mesoamerican cultures. In their niches figures with baby faces are exposed, characteristics of this millenary culture where a belief says that, by their features, these faces are children born from the union of a woman with a jaguar. On its walls you can admire photographs of Olmec monumental sculptures, such as altars, colossal heads and aspects of the beautiful archaeological zone of La Venta, as well as the most representative animal of Mesoamerica: the jaguar.

The decoration of this room is complemented by exquisite textiles from the southern region of Veracruz. The guest can also enjoy a balcony that connects it with the daily life of this Magical Town and a spectacular view of the Great Pyramid crowned with the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Los Remedios, the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes and the Zapoteco hill.
